Engineered wood flooring is a great alternative to real wood. Engineered means each board is constructed using a top layer of veneer which consists of the wood. This is then pressed onto layers of ply or core to create a structured floor designed to withstand expansion, contraction and in many cases to be installed over under floor heating.
Our Engineered wood floors is as durable as solid wood. How many times the floor can be sanded depends on the top (wear) layer thickness as this determines the amount veneer can be sanded. Generally our 20mm thick engineered board can be sanded down as much as our solid can.

I bought 36 square metres of Herringbone from Woodfloors4u. Shaq (I think that’s how you spell it) sat down with us and helped us plan for every eventuality when laying the floor. They have an exceptional range and his advice was invaluable (regarding underfloor heating).
The price was very competitive and it was delivered at a promptly and at a convenient time.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
