The Chevron is much like the related herringbone pattern, it dates back to Roman architecture, where it was used on everything from pottery designs to stone flooring to stone carvings. The pattern was then introduced into wood flooring in the 16th century and became a great success being used heavily across most of Europe. Like many things ‘old is gold’ as they say, and fashions have changed reviving old trends designers are now incorporating these styles into projects helping it fast becoming a design feature.
