Years ago machine based sanding was common and still is with certain floors. Before that, floors were hand scraped on-site to make sure they were flat.
Nowadays this technique is used to add character and beauty to the floor and is becoming a must-have with some customers. Our floors are actually scraped by hand unlike many other companies who buy machined floors which miss that final touch only hand scraping can provide.
